Keep Tacoma Moving

The Connect Tacoma: Safe Streets and Sidewalks Levy focuses on the basic safety needs, from filling potholes to adding sidewalks. This funding will also make sure everyone can move around the city no matter what neighborhood they live in or their means of transportation. Our goal is to keep Tacoma moving safely and efficiently, whether it's walking, rolling, or driving.

Improvements Made Possible by the Tacoma Streets Initiative

Voters first passed the Tacoma Streets Initiative in 2015 to address street maintenance and repairs across Tacoma. Over the past decade, the initiative funded a wide range of projects, including paving, preventative maintenance, sidewalk improvements, and accessibility upgrades. Including hundreds of streets paved and maintained and dozens of cross walks added around schools and high traffic areas. The levy has resulted in greater safety and mobility for both vehicles and pedestrians.

Small Cost. Big Impact.

For about $10 a month per property, Tacoma can keep fixing streets, prevent costly repairs later, and make roads safer for everyone.

Prevents larger, more expensive repairs in the future

Keeps streets in good condition without falling behind

Maintains steady progress instead of stop-and-start projects
